The purpose of this role is to facilitate implementation of the Global HSE Strategy by providing technical expertise, guidance and oversight of HSE performance regarding compliance, conformance and achievement of HSE goals and objectives across the Europe, Middle-East & Africa (EMEA) region.

The HSE Performance Manager will with work with the Regional HSE Team to oversee HSE support, programs and initiatives focusing specifically on performance management.


Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinates the implementation of performance management in the EMEA Region and leads
Novartis HSE EMEA performance management efforts to establish standard and effective oversight.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in understanding performance data and how it is used at all levels of the organization and Monitors emerging performance expectations at all levels of the business as it applies to HSE.
• Proactively anticipates the needs of performance monitoring and ensures the Novartis systems meet the needs of the business.
• Works directly with senior stakeholders within Novartis on their performance management needs, and keeps them informed with regard to ongoing performance, and advises Global HSE Program leaders on potential HSE challenges and opportunities associated with performance.
• Motivates associates and leaders intrinsically to take part in our HSE journey of taking responsibility and ownership.
• Be agile to adapt to changing business needs, multiple stakeholders and to flex from regional program management to site-level implementation support

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Relevant work experience of 6+ years, ideally at multi-national organizations, with knowledge and work experience in HSE
• University degree in, safety management, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational health, engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or additional certificates in data analytics is highly desirable
• Track record of operational effectiveness/innovation and of working with diverse teams and remote business relationships
• Good level of personal credibility, customer relationship management, networking
• A minimum, fluency in English required. Working knowledge of further languages desirable.
