Senior Manager Science & Technology DSP (m/f/d), Global Drug Development, Schaftenau/Kundl, Austria

17+ projects are within scope of biopharmaceutical downstream process development! Impact the future of downstream process development in Drug Substance Development within Technical Research and Development in Schaftenau. Join the downstream process development group and lead a team of 5+ associates. Bring-in your curiosity and inspiration to follow your way as a leader.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead and develop the DSP team
• Develop robust scalable processes with consistent performance and reproducibly achieve quality targets
• Lead and perform process transfers to pilot and manufacturing plants
• Coordinate activities in the context of downstream processing within project teams with internal and external partners
• You will optimally and flexibly use personnel and technical resources
• You will further develop and implement state of the art or future technologies
• You will compile high quality documents as part of international registration procedures
• You will assure and maintain high quality standards in the laboratory

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Sound technical & scientific knowledge of biopharmaceutical process development
• Experience in development of chromatography steps, normal flow and tangential flow filtration steps; proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Prioritize and deliver against tight timelines,
• Knowledge of people management
• Leading diverse and multi-functional teams
• Knowledge on Health Authority regulations
• Excellent communication, presentation and management skills
• Role model for unbossed, curious and inspired leadership in Novartis

Desirable requirements:
• Master Degree in biotechnology, biochemical engineering, biology, chemistry, biochemistry or similar with at least 4 years strong relevant industry experience or PhD in relevant field and at least 2 years relevant industry experience
• Fluency in English, German is a plus

For this position the minimum salary is € 52.204,04/year (on a full time basis).
