The Oncology Biotherapeutics group at NIBR is leading the discovery and development of the next wave of targeted therapies to treat cancer with a particular focus on radiotherapeutics and second-generation antibody-drug-conjugates.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will join the discovery of new therapeutics from target identification through clinical development. Working collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment, you will have the opportunity to employ the latest advancements in protein engineering, medicinal chemistry, radiochemistry, and in vivo modeling to help deliver rationally designed therapies with the potential to significantly impact cancer patients.

Your responsibilities:

• Identify, validate and define therapeutic concept for cell-surface targets and to bring forward new drug discovery programs in Biotherapeutics
• Work collaboratively with global multidisciplinary teams to drive project delivery from conception to lead candidate selection
• Present team findings and strategic recommendations to leadership teams and board reviews

Minimum Requirements

What you bring to the role:

• Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or a related field
• 2 years of industry or relevant academic research experience are preferred with experience in biologics, antibody-drug conjugates, or radiotherapeutics of special interest
• Ability to strive in a fast-paced matrixed environment
• A record of successful collaborative teamwork is desired
• Deep understanding of cancer cell biology and familiarity with antibody discovery and profiling are an advantage
• Excellent team player who enjoys working collaboratively with scientists of diverse backgrounds and expertise
• The ability to present scientific results and project strategy to diverse audiences in a clear and meaningful manner
