Position Purpose:

Provide analytics solutions delivery and reporting support to Novartis internal customers, drive continuous improvements and elevate client experience. Act as a domain expert for analytics solutions development and delivery.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Act as project lead for development and deployment of analytics solutions for internal partners. Translate partners’ requirements into business deliverables. Develop, manage and optimize the data extraction, transformation and reporting process, transform data into actionable business insights.

• Design and deliver simplified user interfaces and user experience (UI/UX). Develop interactive visualizations using state of the art tools (Novartis server compatible) to support users take data driven decisions.

• Develop and maintain data models, reports, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions. Generate analytical insights using advanced modelling techniques and showcase findings to the customer. Develop and maintain machine learning models and solutions.

• Eliminate manual steps by developing (semi) automation scripts / workflows for improved efficiency and enhanced deliverables’ quality. Drive continuous improvement projects for process simplification and improved efficiency. Support work on cross-functional projects using advanced analytics and modelling techniques. Follow agile scrum principles for managing products / solutions development.

• Take ownership of improving client experience for applicable analytics solutions by regular customer connect, collecting feedbacks and managing expectations. Develop standardized processes by crafting SOPs, work instructions and frameworks and comply to them. Develop systems / processes for seamless knowledge transfer, knowledge retention and retrieval.

• Provide support on solving business & process related problems, strengthen business relevance and continuity by adapting to latest analytics tools / approaches / trends and IT infrastructure. Drive development of proof of concept projects, ad hoc analysis, new reporting initiatives and customer showcasing.

• Facilitate trainings to the end users on functionality, utility of new solutions and dashboards. Monitor, comply and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables. Comply to the applicable Novartis operating procedures as per legal / IT / HR requirements.

• Align with all internal functional operating procedures like time tracking, critical metric tracking and reporting, and other internal systems and processes. Become a catalyst in developing and sustaining inspiring, curious and un-bossed culture.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Graduate / Post Graduate in operations management, Business management, Industrial engineering, Statistics. Certifications in supply chain and operations areas e.g. APICS (CSCP, CPIM), optional but good to have.

• Experience in Supply chain analytics, operations analytics, inventory optimization, logistics network optimization, demand management, warehouse capacity planning etc. SAP MM, SD modules end user experience.

• Business intelligence, reporting and important metric development. Excellent knowledge of data analytics, handling large and multiple datasets coming from multiple databases/sources.

• Hands on expertise on ETL and data wrangling tools like Alteryx, R, Python, SQL or similar. Hands on expertise on developing dashboards, UI/UX in QlikSense, Tableau, R Shiny (or similar) publish and handling access on server platform. VBA Macro and MS-Access knowledge will be an added advantage.

• Hands on experience on developing simulations and real time critical metrics supervising dashboards. Experience in building and maintaining machine learning models. Experience in business intelligence, business analytics or data science organization.

• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, Understanding of supply chain/ Manufacturing / quality and associated areas, Knowledge of CRISP-DM methodology to solve analytics problems. Ability to work and lead AGILE team roles. Experience of working closely with the global partners.
