The Market Access Manager supports the growth of the Oncology Division by driving Market Access strategy within the Franchise and striving for the optimal pricing and launch timing. Within stakeholder interaction this position ensures ideal Market Access conditions for products during the whole lifecycle in collaboration with Franchise (Marketing, Medical, Patient) and in alignment with Novartis Region/Global. Furthermore, the Market Access Manager establishes partnerships with key stakeholders and decision makers to facilitate for patients fast and early access to medicines.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Development and implementation of the product value proposition and P&R strategy according to the internal guidance and adapted to market situation. Alignment with cross-functional Country/Region/Global team in order to gain access for new products/solutions and to ensure successful launches.
• Responsibility for the P&R or Health Technology Authority dossier preparation and submission to Health Authorities, understanding payers’ requirements and needs translating them in high quality health economic evidence.
• Leveraging results from epidemiological studies, economic models, clinical trials and budget impact analyses and supporting price negotiation.
• Preparing the best P&R conditions throughout the whole product lifecycle (LoE included)
• Supporting Market Access Liaison Managers on any topics related to access by developing local evidence packages, programs and materials.
• Developing and executing commercial strategies (i.e. tenders, offers, deals) in line with plan decisions through viable commercial relationships.
• Gaining and securing positive local policies (including guidelines, protocols,) through stakeholder engagement Proactive participation in brand teams to make sure all access and value assessment needs are included in overall product strategy.
• Building continuous awareness of the National Health Care environment, Pharma regulations and country political landscape so as optimizing Onco product access strategies.
• Supporting compliance in all interactions throughout the organization and to ensure that all processes and activities are in line with internal and external policies

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Completed University degree (ideally a legal, scientific, economics or business degree)
• Min. 3 years of experience in Market Access environment of Pharma industry and/or health economics or analytics
• Fluency in English and German
• Well-developed understanding of national Health Care, regulatory environment, drug P&R and listing processes
• Strong record of project management skills combined with expert negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong analytical mindset and the ability to create strong business cases
• Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics
• Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with government officials, regulators and other key stakeholders

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 24,528.00/year (on a full time basis). In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
