The Senior Manager, Data Scientist, Statistical Learning will be responsible for the development of state-of-the-art statistical analyses from inferential statistics to machine learning that are incorporated into analytic products that support the pivotal initiatives of US Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Medical Access, and Population Health and Account Management. Analytic products span the spectrum from rigorous protocol driven studies to exploratory analyses that incorporate modern statistical methods and the development of industrial data pipelines and analytic deployment to build disruptive efficiency.

You will:

Develop analysis plans ranging from exploratory data mining to rigorous protocol driven studies that will be published in peer-reviewed journals. Create dynamic visualizations and reports that will be consumed and drive senior leadership decisions. Partner with researchers and medical leadership to create the Real-World Evidence and Medical Intelligence that will reimagine patient access and optimize healthcare efficiency.

• Collaborate with researchers to develop analytic plans and protocols and serve on the methods review panel.
• Work with and help lead the statistical and machine learning team to execute innovative analytic product development across methodology domains spanning health economics, epidemiology, implementation science, and quality improvement projects.
• Effectively manage the statistical analyses for individual projects from translation of the research question into analysis plan development to execution and delivery of statistical products. Manage and communicate project timelines to ensure that objectives are met.
• Innovate, standardize and deploy innovative statistical and epidemiologic methodologies.
• Partner with the data engineering team to ensure efficient data pipeline development and improvement that allow for scalable deployment.
• Drive disruptive efficiency through a culture of continuous improvement by providing leadership to apply development operations best practices.
• Lead systematic improvement and optimization of scripts, tools, and quality assurance.
• Continuously learn and master new technologies and methods and creatively apply to real world problems

Minimum Requirements

• Masters degree in applied math, statistics, or related field
• 3+ years of performing statistical analyses in a big data field (healthcare, information technology, engineering)
• Experience with developing statistical models measuring and adjusting for confounding and bias.
• Knowledge of standard epidemiological methods.
• Expert in scripting using statistical software packages, such as R or Python and the use of GIT for code management.


• Demonstrated research accomplishments including publications or presentations at scientific conferences.
• Application of advanced visualization (R-shiny, Tableau, etc..) and the creation of dashboards.
• Experience leading and developing analytic plans for research protocols requiring an in-depth knowledge of research design and empirical methodologies used in RWE and HEOR.
• Experience in healthcare data (Electronic Health Records, Insurance Claims)
• Programming experience in object-oriented programming
• Experience with industrializing and deploying analytics at scale in a web/cloud environment and managing data engineering teams.
