The Associate Director, Data Engineering / Full Stack will be responsible for applying full stack capabilities in supporting the creation of analytic products by connecting data engineering pipelines, deploying scalable analytics, and creating interactive applications to support the pivotal initiatives of US Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Medical Access, and Population Health and Account Management. Analytic products span the spectrum from rigorous protocol driven studies to exploratory analyses that incorporate modern statistical methods and the development of industrial data pipelines and analytic deployment to build disruptive efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

You will:

Develop the connections between the data pipelines and scalable analytics to interactive visualizations dashboards, and reports that provide meaningful insights and intelligence.

• Work with the Researchers, Data Engineers and Machine Learning / Statistical teams to build innovative analytic products that span health economics, epidemiology, implementation science, and quality improvement projects.
• Translate business requirements into application features.
• Architect and implement scalable software solutions.
• Innovate, standardize and deploy scalable code to drive efficiency and scale.
• Drive disruptive efficiency through a culture of continuous improvement by providing leadership systematically optimization of scripts, tools, and quality assurance.
• Continuously learn and master new technologies and creatively apply to real world problems.

You will have:

• B.S. in computer science or related field, Master's degree preferred
• 3+ years of professional software engineering development creating backend databases and creation of scalable data engineering workflows to support machine learning model development.
• Working knowledge with object-oriented programming
• Experience with latest databased systems such as Spark, SQL, NoSQL, graph databases.
• Expert in Python, SQL, shell
• Experience with cloud computing, distributed/cluster computing.
• Experience with front end development.
• Well-rounded experience with many programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Html, C++, etc...)
• Experience in writing and consuming APIs
• Experience in healthcare data (Electronic Health Records, Insurance Claims) preferred
• Experience with R preferred
