40+ is the dedicated number of team members you would be joining at IDB (Advanced Accelerator Applications, Netherlands) whose mission is to bring new therapies to patients wordwide by producing radiopharmaceuticals for targeted radioligand therapy. IDB 's team embraces the culture of empowerment and team work.

Head of Engineering leads the engineering activities, which is responsible to establish, maintain and improve the engineering processes at the site with respect to buildings, equipment, utilities and energy. They will also responsible for planning and executing CAPEX projects within organization including all reporting requirements.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

Strategy & Organizational Development:
• Mission & Vision of Engineering department
• Ensure availability of competent, high performing people and develop the talent pool and/or succession plan.
• Inspection readiness of Engineering department
• Support internal and external audits
• Ensure Compliance with Quality Manual / Quality Modules / GOPs / NMM etc.
• Implement standards
• Implement GOPs
• If needed, create regional / site SOPs & templates
• Implement sharing and leveraging of best practices and expertise
• Own the Training Curriculum for own Job Profile

Maintenance & Calibration:
• Drive / improve technical availability, reliability and condition of assets
• Establish cost efficient repair and maintenance processes in compliance with local regulations, HSE, GMP
• Define and execute asset strategy and proper asset lifecycle management
Vendor & Contractor Management:
• Develop contractual strategy and framework to manage vendors / contractors and corresponding contracts
Project Engineering & Control:
• Manage investment budget & project portfolio for site
• Lead investment review committees for site expansion and/or additional AAA isotope sites
• Develop project execution strategy and execute investment projects according to customer needs (costs, schedule, functionality, quality)

Minimum Requirements

Education: Degree in Mechatronics / Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Automation technology / Nuclear Engineering & Physics (Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc. / B. Sc.) or equivalent.

Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English (writing, reading and speaking)

Relevant Experiences:
• Leadership experience (successful project management) on major investment projects and/or large maintenance organization
• Excellent project management skills including contract management and project appraisal / financial knowledge
• Excellent communication skills, ability to effective present complex ideas and solutions to executive management, technical experts and regional / local teams
• In-depth technical knowledge in chemical and / or pharmaceutical processes and equipment
• Wide interdisciplinary knowledge
• Extended HSE and GxP/QA knowledge
• >5 years of Capital Portfolio and Major Project Management experience, including >5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical Industry.
• Outstanding Project Management and excellent technical knowledge with demonstrated ability to deliver safe, effective and fully compliant projects
• Broad project controlling knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of key non-technical business processes; Strategy, HR, Finance
• Advanced HSE and GxP / QA knowledge
• Basic knowledge of radioactivity, radioprotection, pharmaceutical and clean room environment constraints
• Technical knowledge: electricity, mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic – obtained certificate in technology or by practical work experience
• Production processes on different Synthesis Modules including IPC, production reporting and condition based steps
• Knowledge about chemical and pharmaceutical principles (e.g. ion exchange, nucleophilic substitution, solid phase reaction, purification, formulation, electochemistry, chromatography)
• Basic IT skills
• Analysis capability, synthetic mind and reporting skills
