Job Description

As production unit engineer, you’re responsible to ensure the technical availability of all related equipment, which is mandatory to deliver production plan with expected quality. You’ll act as the domain expert for the V/E production unit for critical technical issues to fulfil statutory, regulatory and requirements.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for performance of technical solutions as well as time, cost and quality of discipline work assigned, ensures technical quality and usage of best practices / standards.
• Responsible for the definition, assignment & implementation follow-up of long-term actions defined by the daily production meetings at the workplace.
• Execute/Follow-up engineering activities (design, implementation, maintenance, etc.) within technical area of expertise by using reliable and cost efficient technical solutions, ensuring technical quality to enable the site/project objectives.
• Define the budget necessary to perform long-term actions & increase Overall Asset Efficiency.
• Supports maintenance in creating & guarding an accurate maintenance program (SAP-PM) and supports in achieving controlled costs of repair and maintenance (investments).
• Prepare Equipment Specifications and System Requirements in project (e.g. User Requirement Specification).
• Supports & reviews functional specifications in projects, reviews and approves drawings, lists, schedules, diagrams, layouts, calculations and datasheets in projects.
• Supports new equipment inspections in project & commissioning activities
• Leads or supports continuous improvement or optimization of equipment.
• Ensures compliance with GMP/HSE regulations, Novartis policies, procedures and standards, and champions a Quality Culture.
• Provides coaching and ensures the development of multi-skilling both of engineering team and of operators.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Degree in engineering (civil or industrial) or equal by experience
• At least 5 years of engineering experience in Pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent command of Dutch and English (spoken en written)
• Multidisciplinary technical understanding
• Proven knowledge of key HSE/GMP/Quality regulations and issues
• Experience in LEAN, Innovation, Quality & Productivity philosophy (Continuous Improvement Process,...)

Desirable requirements:

• Knowledge of total productive maintenance
• Experience with cost controlling
