10! That is the number of teams you would be supporting as a Capabilities Manager in the Oncology Business Unit (OBU). The Capabilities Manager will enable the OBU to meet current and future capability requirements by providing expert training and facilitation support to the OBU Commercial, Medical, and Access teams, as well as the broader business as required, such as Digital and Business Excellence, Finance, Ethics Risk & Compliance.

Working across teams and franchises in line with agile working approaches, the Capabilities Manager will be responsible for strategic capabilities plan creation and execution. Identifying capability gaps in the organisation, providing solutions to address them, and collaborating with Business Leaders to produce best in class capability plans.

This position is based in our London office, but as part of our Choice with Responsibility policy we offer our associates the choice to decide how, where and when to be most impactful in their roles (within country boundaries).

Your responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Partner with Business Leaders to produce best in class capability plans and learning journeys for all roles.
• Design and co-ordinate training interventions across functional teams.
• Deliver training programs or manage and co-ordinate external vendors where appropriate, including the wider organisational business unit.
• Provide expertise and thought leadership in capability building and training.
• Develop and bring in new techniques, explore innovative methods of training and learning and drive standardization across the organisation.
• Have a deep understanding of the needs of the business and the skills and capabilities required in roles.
• Maintain full compliance with internal and external guidelines and stay up to date on external and internal guidelines.
• Collaborate with relevant internal departments and make sure information is communicated across all the key partners.
• Build insightful reports to demonstrate and supervise the progress and development of functional teams.
• Review training materials, ensure they are relevant, and track compliance and certification requirements where appropriate.
• Support the Head of Digital and Business Excellence to prioritise key initiatives and opportunities to accelerate our performance and capabilities.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience/success in training and capability roles.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel approaches
• Excellent project management, organisational, and problem solving skills
• Confidence to challenge and influence strategy and comfortable to lead and develop solutions
• Proactive, clear and engaging communication with excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
