This division is the innovation engine of Novartis, focusing on powerful new technologies that have the potential to help produce breakthroughs for patients. The Next Generation Diagnostics (NGDx) group in NIBR Oncology Translational Research applies cutting-edge technologies and analytical approaches to thousands of oncology clinical trial samples each year and brings hypotheses from biomarker discovery to bear on drug discovery and development.

The NGDx group is seeking a dedicated and motivated project manager to work with clinical teams and laboratory and data scientists to put this mission into practice. This role will advance our translational research efforts by engaging key stakeholders and overseeing all aspects of a project: concept, execution, and impact. The successful candidate will be an engaged team-member and a proactive problem-solver.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversight of projects from initiation through analysis, including planning, monitoring progress, documenting, and communicating.

• Effective and timely communication of project updates to project teams for both strategy and progress

• Coordination with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.

• Assist in executing business memos and ensuring projects stay within defined budgets and resources

• Knowledge and application of standard policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues and/or to achieve project goals

• Identification and management of potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects

• May train junior and/or new team members

Minimum Requirements


• Efficient time management and ability to effectively prioritize assigned projects
• Skilled in collaboration across project teams and their key stakeholders
• Experience in seeing a project through its full life cycle: from concept/initiation through to completion
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment are essential
