Real Estate Portfolio Manager – Site Development

How would you like to be a part of a brand new team making a big impact on one of the biggest companies in the pharmaceutical industry?

As Real Estate Portfolio Manager in the Site Development department, you will be responsible for the management of our large global portfolio of essential sites at Novartis.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Working with a wide range of stakeholders, develop short and long term strategic real estate programs for Novartis, including Site Development plans and capital planning
• Maintaining adherence to all statutory requirements as it relates to buildings, land use, permitting and life safety codes
• Providing real estate performance metrics to evidence real estate performance from quality and finance point of view
• Supporting country and site leadership team in managing the changes/improvements to their facilities
• Working with global and regional team members to develop real estate strategies and act as technical advisor to global initiatives
• Partnering with peers and services across SD functions and Novartis businesses; secures the involvement and participation of other organizations, as needed, to deliver high quality support
• Challenging and reviewing services and procedures to ensure consistency and effective operation
• Acting as single point of contact and subject matter expert for projects in delivery mode and on-going property management

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Masters/MBA in Real Estate, Finance or other related subject
• Strong experience in corporate real estate and real estate markets
• Strong understanding and knowledge of land use requirements and regulations with the ability to influence changes to benefit the company’s real estate portfolio
• Strong understanding of the property development process and experience in real estate transactions, leasing operations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management experience is key
• Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with internal as well as external organizations to achieve goals
• Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in additional languages is a bonus
