The Hematology Institutional Account Manager will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing full institutional account focused strategic business plans around prioritized hematology portfolio in a manner compliant with all Novartis policies and procedures. Will demonstrate business ownership and educate multiple stakeholders on the designated hematology products within key institutional accounts in the Houston Medical Center. Responsible for achieving key business objectives, developing and excelling in internal cross-functional teams, and sharing key customer insights to help shape brand strategies and tactics for each account in the Houston Market. Qualified candidates must live in the Greater Houston Area.

Key accounts include MD Anderson, Baylor and Methodist.

Major Job Accountabilities
• Responsible for meeting key business objectives focusing on account management, cross-functional teamwork, launch preparation, and customer focus. Responsible for supporting national hematology portfolio brand objectives.
• Responsible for complete business ownership: primary owner of multi-stakeholders’ relationships that include hematology medical directors and faculty, pharmacy departments, reimbursement, C-Suite, and clinic personnel.
• Support a highly technical and innovative product portfolio to a sophisticated institutional audience. Responsible for disease education, product positioning and pull-through with appropriate patient types as identified by the product labels.
• Participate in the development of national and area strategies for the product line by working closely with hematology Brand Teams. Prepares and presents market plans for key accounts in collaboration with other internal NVS stakeholders of these accounts.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships; connects key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial solutions; develops and implements different approaches based on customer styles and identified needs.
• Implement brand strategy and marketing tactics for each assigned institution, and engage/ involve brand team & senior leadership partnership /collaborations across key accounts. Consistently collaborates with the HCSAM, Hematology Area Leader, and Regional Marketing Team to create necessary business opportunities and conducts Account Reviews for key institutions.
• Support product access, implement response/pull-through strategies, maintain and grow key relationships with key customers in line with defined target priorities in a manner consistent and compliant with company policies and requirements.

Minimum requirements

Education:
Bachelor Degree Minimum
Experience/Competencies Required:
5+ years of field experience in Hematology or Oncology markets
Proven track record of 3+ years in a focused account management role to include key skills such as: buy & bill, launch excellence in multi-stakeholder markets / institutions, building & communicating account business plans, high-level communications across multiple local and OBU stakeholders, understanding complex dynamics & stakeholders within institutions including influencers beyond prescribers, access and reimbursement challenges, outlining referral patterns and being able to function accordingly.
Must live in the Greater Houston Area

Preferred: Strong experience within the Houston Medical Center (MD Anderson, Methodist, Baylor) covered by this role.
Proven ability to navigate complex customers and build relationships across all key stakeholders, including executive management
Ability to operate a company vehicle
