The Exploratory Immuno-Oncology department at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) in Cambridge, MA, has an exciting opportunity for a B.S. or M.S. level scientist. In this role, you will be part of an innovative multidisciplinary team focused on developing the next generation of CART cell therapy. You will play a vital role in developing novel discovery programs. Your primary responsibilities will be designing, engineering, and testing different functional moieties in transduced human T cells.

Minimum requirements

Desirable Requirements:
*BS/MS degree in biological sciences with 3+ years of hands-on research experience in synthetic biology or molecular biology
*Proficiency in molecular biology techniques including molecular cloning, transfection, viral transduction, stable cell line generation, nucleic acid extraction, and CRISPR
*Familiarity with DNA-sequence analysis software (e.g. Geneious, SnapGene)
*Isolation and sterile tissue culture of mammalian cell lines and/or immune cell subset. Experience with T cell culture is a plus
*Experience with ex vivo analysis of primary cells by multicolor flow cytometry & cells based immunoassays (QPCR,ELISA, MSD, Luminex).
*Proven success in a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment
*Excellent organizational skills for design and tracking experiments, study results, and reagents
*Effective oral and written communication skills
*Curiosity
