Job Description

20 people die each day in the U.S. while waiting for a transplant. Every 10 minutes, someone is added to the national transplant waiting list. Third of the patients at 10 years return to dialysis or re-transplantation. The waiting list to get a second opportunity in life is 112K patients long and growing for those needing a kidney or a liver transplant.

This transplant launch has the opportunity to change the hope of “One transplant for Life” into reality and cause an inflection in society.

As the Director of HCP Marketing, you will have the opportunity to shape the complex market, build the ultimate experience for our customers and drive innovation.

Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Convert deep understanding of HCP needs and behaviors to actionable insights focused on shaping the market and positioning our brand in the market
• Shape thinking in marketplace for current standard of care as well as the future of the transplant landscape; influence key stakeholders to build buy-in
• Ideate with an "outside-in" marketing approach to continuously cultivate knowledge and expertise around HCP journey and entire healthcare ecosystem to best inform the HCP journey
• Understand the digital journey to reach patients and influence HCP conversations, as well as ensure the HCP understands the entire ecosystem
• Define and execute a data and insight driven HCP engagement strategy, integrated with patient and payer strategy
• Understand competitive landscape that have implications on HCP marketing strategies and programs
• Create a specific customer focus on ancillary healthcare providers (e.g., pharmacists, transplant coordinators, nurses, caregivers, etc.) by understanding insights and behaviors across the ecosystem and impact on the patient journey
• Ensure appropriate market analysis and competitive benchmarking is conducted to inform marketing programs and tactics
• Execute or advise on execution of marketing strategies and tactics by channel / stakeholder aligned with the brand strategic imperatives and grounded in insights
• Lead interactions with extended brand team members (Sales, Market Access, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Training, Finance, etc.) building consensus/buy-in amongst the team

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Education: MBA required; Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences preferred
• Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech and/or healthcare required
• 7-10 years of experience that translate to breadth and depth of marketing-relevant competencies (e.g., marketing, market access, sales leadership, etc.) with command across pharma marketing domains and mastery of multiple domains
• Diverse experience outside of marketing (e.g. Customer-facing/sales experience, managed markets, operations, medical, etc.)
• Experience with commercialization of new drug/product
• Experience with account-based models
• People management experience, with the ability to foster and build high-performing teams
• Demonstrated experience establishing and engaging key customer groups and other important stakeholders internally and externally to gain deep insights to evolve brand strategy and communication
• Proven track record of success showing strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, often in ambiguity and within an agile way of working
• Strong project management experience and skills
• Strong learning agility / growth mindset
• Travel is important and an estimate is approx. 25-35%
