The CART Therapies team in Immuno-Oncology (IO) in collaboration with Oncology Translational Research (OTR) is seeking a talented and highly motivated Post-Doctoral candidate to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary cell therapeutics discovery team. The candidate will work toward increasing our biological understanding of CAR-targets, CAR-T cell biology and mechanisms of resistance to CART therapies. The work will be conducted under joint supervision in the laboratories of Ana Maria (Avalos) Chadbourne (IO) and Matthew Niederst (OTR).

The successful candidate will join a vibrant scientific community and collaborate with other postdoctoral fellows mentored by a range of scientists across disciplines and platforms, including chemistry, structural biology, molecular biology, functional genomics, neurophysiology and translational medicine. Postdoctoral scholars at NIBR have a unique opportunity to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary research and are expected to publish their results in leading journals. The postdoctoral term is up to 4 years.

Minimum requirements

*PhD in Cancer Biology, Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or Related Field.
*Expertise in cell biology is highly desirable, tumor immunology and lymphocyte biology is a plus.
*Working knowledge of a breadth of cellular and molecular methods is desirable: tissue culture, flow cytometry, protein analyses. Experience with microscopy and/or in vivo work is a plus.
*Strong publication record
*Excellent analytical, communication/presentation and organizational skills
*The ability to think creatively and independently in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment will be vital.
