Job Description

* The REQ represents multiple openings for various therapeutic areas including: Ophtha, IHD(Immunology, Hematology & Dermatology (IHD), and CRM (Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolism) *

You will work closely with Franchise Communications Director to provide strategic external and internal communications and social media support by working with cross-functional team and stakeholders across the organization to support US Pharma and Franchise business objectives for the Franchise.

This includes the following areas:

• Strategic communications partnering and counsel - Support the development and implementation of a communications strategy to support the company’s US Pharma business and employee engagement goals, major initiatives and brands, and measure effectiveness of efforts.

• Project management - Partner with business and functional colleagues to develop and drive execution of activities and programs.

• External communications for brands - Develop and implement brand public relations and social media programs for pre-launch and in-line brands.

• Internal communications/employee engagement – Partner with Communications Director to support communications to associates that advances understanding of business strategy and a positive organizational environment.

• Issues management and change communications - Support the development and implementation of strategic communications plans to address business issues or change management initiatives impacting the business that minimizes disruption, supports quick uptake and protects Company reputation.

• Performance Management – Measure key outcomes and adapt and evolve the strategy to continuously improve.

• Agency/Partner Management – Work with agency partners, as needed, to deliver strategic, relevant and innovative programs to stakeholders.

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:


Bachelor degree is required.

Concentration communications, public relations, marketing, social/digital media or related discipline is preferred.


• 5+ years’ related experience in communications, or related field, with strong emphasis on external communications, digital and social media, patient advocacy

• Communications or Marketing experience (in Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Packaged Goods, Tech or Financial industry). Experience in a highly regulated industry is preferred.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

• Experience in developing and coordinating integrated communications/marketing plans.

• Experience and ability to manage multiple issues and projects.

• Experience and skilled in project management and budget/resource management.

• Ability to prioritize and maximize limited resources to achieve goals

Travel: Up to 15% travel (primarily domestic)
