We are seeking a Senior Investigator to join our Mechanistic Immunology team and oversee several research teams.

 Engage in independent innovative research that will lead to fundamental insights in scientific discipline but also technology development

 Cutting-edge and hands-on knowledge of human immunology will continue to lead to publication of impactful papers

 Manage platform leadership through development and retention of talent, and effective succession planning.

What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Investigating the mechanisms and pathophysiology of immunological processes related to the use of bio therapeutic with a major focus on new therapeutic modalities such as mRNA delivery and gene therapy

• Supporting NBC antibody discovery leading innovative research projects

• Drive innovation in the context of proteomic applied to investigating the immune system mechanisms in different pathological conodonts

• Act as an immunology key reference for the interface with DAs and within NBC

Minimum requirements

What you will bring to the role:

 PhD in immunology field with 5+ years of experience in research

 Post-Doctoral training in academia and/or working experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry

 Strong technical and theoretical background/expertise in human immunology

 Track record of scientific publication in peer review journals

 High organizational skills and accurate record keeping

 Excellent communication and presentation skills, leadership, initiative and creativity

 Be a role model for credibility, quality, integrity, and sound judgment

 Possess the ability to communicate transparently and effectively

Our Expectations

 Strong technical and theoretical background/expertise in human and mouse immunology:

 Ability to set up in vitro assays with human primary cells

 Investigate mouse model to address biological questions

 Good background in virus-immune system cross talk

 Capability to experimentally investigate pathophysiological mechanisms related to immune driven diseases

 Being able to establish collaboration and network with 3rd parties in the Novartis organization

 Develop novel projects also establishing collaboration with Academic partnership

 Oversee students in the context of basic research project development and mentor and develop critical scientists in the platform and across NIBR to establish effective biologics pipeline.
