Job Description

You will support business objectives and results by driving innovative US Pharma President and executive communications strategies and tactics that build the company’s reputation externally and drive employee engagement internally.

More specifically, you will:

• Drive business priorities and cultural ambitions by delivering strategic newsflow, content and initiatives for the US Pharma President, including management of social media channels, internal messages, strategic media relations and external speaking engagements.

• Define scalable and reputation-building social media and traditional media strategies that support business priorities and create visibility for US Pharma executives and topics.

• Manage internal and external communications around key business milestones such as quarterly earnings and product approvals.

• Lead the production of multimedia content including graphics, videos and photography using both internal and external resources.

• Manage and lead key employee engagement events (e.g., MeetUps, Town Halls, etc) including setting agendas, creating content, prepping speakers and communicating event information.

• Write and review executive briefings, message tracks and social media posts and/or long-form blog posts.

• Understand the global Novartis organization, and major competitors and stakeholders.

• Build strong, collaborative relationships with Novartis stakeholders (including leadership) and worldwide colleagues.

• Measure key outcomes and develop ongoing feedback loops to ensure audience-first content; translate insights into actions and evolve strategies for continuous improvement.

• Work with agency partners, as needed to deliver strategic, relevant, and innovative programs to stakeholders.

• Exhibit digital acumen and forward thinking to get ahead of trends, leverage analytics to shape communications and identify new, innovative approaches to engage and stay relevant with employees.

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:


Bachelor’s degree is required.

Concentration in communications, public relations or related discipline is preferred.


8 years required (and additional years preferred) of related experience in communications or related field with strong emphasis on internal and external communications, executive content, and channel management.
