The Associate Director, Channel Strategy Commercial is responsible for leading the channel strategy for the franchise across HCP and Patient digital, off line, and direct channels, including the build of “next-generation” strategic enablers that will allow Novartis to conduct business with HCPs and patients in a patient centric fashion. The position is responsible for the strategic multi-channel mix by HCP and patient segments, utilizing new and existing digital channels supporting the overall OBU strategy.

• Develops best in industry, innovative multichannel strategies and programs leverag-ing new channels and emerging technology to support the franchise strategic im-peratives across 3 to 6 brands, most with multiple indications
• Identifies opportunities to set new direction to improve HCP and Patient channel experience
• Creates strong collaboration with HCP and Patient marketing leads, business analy-sis, and sales operations to implement tools to enhance sales integration with chan-nel strategy
• Leverages emerging technology and capabilities to replace traditional marketing and sales tactics with multichannel initiatives that are customer-centric, engaging, and ROI positive (e.g., social media, digital media, relationship marketing, mobile, etc.)
• Interfaces closely with legal, E&C, privacy, and IT to educate on channel guidelines and socializes innovative ideas
• Collaborates closely with content, data, services, and technology platforms to create channel application functionality and to standardize processes where possible
• Delivers insights from collaborating with analytics team, and conducting primary and secondary HCP and Patient research including competitive and industry trends
• Conducts ongoing primary and secondary channels patient research based on competitive and outside industry trends
• Oversees vendor evaluation and management where required
• Interface closely with Digital Consultants to oversee the execution of the HCP and Patient strategy

Minimum requirements

Education: BA/BS required. MBA preferred

Experience:
• Experienced leader with channel strategy, or marketing planning background and understanding of digital media and platforms
• At least 5+ years of commercial experience (both strategic and executional), with client side, agency or consulting experience in in health care or another industry
• Recognized standing in the channel strategy and digital marketing arena with a track record of innovation
• Understanding of regulatory environment preferred
• Creative thinker who can bring forward long-term solutions to innovate around patient engagement and technology solutions
• Demonstrated business expertise and knowledge (business acumen) and the ability to consult internally and/or externally
• Ability to build relationships, collaborate and influence across a matrix organization
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and consultants, and be accountable for individual and department results
• Demonstrated strong skills in oral and written communication, project management
• Experience in strategy and/or client services (e.g. agency, consultancy, Consumer goods) considered a plus
