Job Purpose: -
• To support the Head of Oncology Policy & Market Access in developing and implementing the strategy for all access, listing and pricing and reimbursement activity for the Oncology Business Unit.
• Effectively support introduction of new compounds rapidly into the market for the widest commercial indications at a price which commensurate with the value of the new compound.
• Obtain government and health care providers’ reimbursement to allow for maximum patient access to treatments.
• Ensure current and new indications are included in formulary listings in a timely manner.
• Foster the use of Health Economics and Outcomes Research studies as a tool to promote value-based and evidence based pricing.
• Anticipate the future trends in the market, developing an innovative response in order to pro-actively build sustainable competitive actions.
• Work with stakeholders such as payers, customers, policies makers, government etc., to ensure Novartis is the most respected entity in cancer care.

Key Responsibilities
Local Market Access & Strategy development :
• Identify healthcare dynamics and market trends impacting access and regulatory environment prior to the development of Market Access Plan.
• Ensure Qualitative and quantitative input into Budget and Strategic Plans.
• Execute Market Access strategies to influence and accelerate favorable pricing and reimbursement decision for strategic brands and new launches.
• Propose and implement pricing strategies in the OBU, accurately reflecting the local environment.
• Build network and develop positive relationships with relevant government officials, prescribing influencers, Key Opinion Leaders, payers, policies makers and etc.
• Foster the use of Health Economics and Outcomes Research studies as a tool to promote value-based and evidence based pricing.

Functional Excellence:
• Identify access related gaps for near to launch, current and near patent expiry of OBU products as part of the life cycle management.
• Provide insights and analyse country policy and preparedness for Oncology therapies.
• Support the development of HTA capabilities.
• Support the Head of Oncology Policy & Market Access and country management initiatives on Brand Defense, Intellectual Property matters and Value Access in Medicine.

Minimum requirements

• Minimum Degree in Life / Biological Sciences / Pharmacy / Medical.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum 2 years (24 months) of experience in Market Access in the Pharmaceutical industry.
• Must have experience in doing Listing, Pricing Reimbursement / Management, familiar with HTA Assessment, familiar with Budget Impact Modelling, and tender management.
• Possesses good communication skills and has the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Proficient in the English language (written and spoken).
• Has Intermediate - Advanced Project Management skills will be an added advantage.
• Intermediate level in the usage of Microsoft Application, especially Excel.
