As part of an part of an innovative multidisciplinary IT team in Novartis, you will be the engineering talent in collaborative innovative and agile teams that Experiment, rapidly incubate, and establish to scale digital platforms that deliver value to Novartis in areas like process automation, Cognitive Computing (AI, ML), Natural Language Processing and advanced data analytics.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Engineer solutions by applying a combination of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning technologies, data analysis / modelling, visualization, scripting, integration, search and UI/UX skills.
• Demonstrate Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning tools, Natural Language processing capabilities, Chat Bot technologies and use of Robotic Process Automation. Facilitate discovery workshops with key stakeholders
• Invest your time in building a sound understanding of the key business activities/domains. Provide an ability to think about business processes outside of the technology context.
• Drive innovative ideas / discussions and conduct Proof of Concepts with hands on development
• Provide input to project proposals related to new technologies/innovations. Actively engage with business and technical stakeholders in design workshops and prototyping sessions. Where necessary facilitate and conduct such workshops. Capturing user requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
• Define and conduct user training sessions, perform day to day support on active use of solutions to drive user adoption of innovative solutions

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field
• 5 years minimum demonstrated business and technical expertise
• Demonstrated expertise with Machine Learning or Chat Bot platforms
• Foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design

Desirable Requirements:
• Understanding of Pharma industry context, underlying business processes and systems; including RPA/AI/ML
• Exposure to Design Thinking and working in Agile teams
• Experience in multiple technologies like Java, Python, R, AWS/Azure Bot platform, PHP
• Experience with RPA tools like Automation Anywhere or UIPath
• Technologies/frameworks Node.JS/AngularJS/ReactJS, RESTful APIs, MySQL/SQLServer/Oracle or NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB), Git.
• Experience interfacing with internal business partners
• Past consulting experience would be beneficial
