The Market Access & External Affairs Manager is responsible for securing target reimbursement, funding, and market access of Novartis’ oncology products in Sweden. He or she leverages on a deep understanding of the local political environment, healthcare structure and regulations to devise MAX & EA initiatives that will provide a sustainable competitive advantage in a given business environment.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Develop strategies and drive activities to remove regional and national market access hurdles
• In collaboration with HEOR team drive reimbursement submissions
• Build and maintain relations with payers and other market access stakeholders on both national and regional level
• Provide market access input and support to cross-functional brand strategies and activities
• Develop and drive market access projects in collaboration with external stakeholders
• In collaboration with Public Affairs, develop and implement public affairs plan
• Develop business cases to support pricing strategies and pricing approvals
• Monitor pricing developments, seek pricing opportunities, and maintain prices of Novartis Oncology products in relevant price databases


Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• University degree in pharmacy, business administration, health economics or other relevant fields
• Fluent in Swedish and good skills in English, spoken and written
• At least 5 years of working experience in the pharma industry, and at least 2 years in market access position
• Experience from developing reimbursement submissions, pricing analyses and tender bids
• Experience from engaging with regional and national market access stakeholders
• Deep knowledge about the Swedish health care system, funding and reimbursement system
• Good understanding of health economics and evidence generation to support market access
• Ability to collaborate and build trust and relationships, both internally and externally
• Strong project management skills
