The ideal candidate will be joining a laboratory working on metabolic aspects of chronic liver disease including NASH. S/he will be delineating disease biology and be responsible for conducting end-point analyses of pharmacology studies and other in vivo/cellular phenotypic characterization to support drug discovery effort. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and highly matrixed environment.

Major accountabilities
1. Design, optimize, validate and execute cellular and end-point assays based on deep understanding of target biology for programs targeting lipid metabolism in order to support individual research projects and general drug discovery efforts for hepatic disorders.
2. Use biochemical and molecular methods and cutting-edge technologies to characterize pre-clinical in vivo and ex vivo models and understand the mechanism of action (MOA) of a particular targets or to evaluate compound efficacy.
3. Analyze and interpret data independently based on critical thinking and the use of statistic tools. Present and discuss results in group and project team meetings as well as to a larger scientific audience and the site research leadership at portfolio reviews and research forums.
4. Proactively seek new perspectives or new solutions to address key scientific questions and identify novel targets to complement existing programs or expand our drug discovery pipeline.
Minimum Requirement
