Job purpose:

The Hematology Brand Lead has full accountability for the achievement of sales, market share and profitability targets for the assigned product portfolio/disease areas, leading a team of marketing professionals to develop and implement high quality strategic and operational plans/solutions. Ensures synergy and best practice sharing amongst the disease areas under responsibility and across franchises.

Key Responsibilities:

• To develop, support and coordinate the marketing strategy and promotional mix across the disease areas to meet brand and disease area performance objectives and customer needs.
• To lead successfully the marketing/nurse team to create and deliver strategic and operational plans appropriate to brand life-cycle in order to achieve financial performance targets.
• Accountable for tracking business performance and define corrective actions and dynamic resource allocation as needed to optimize results.
• To leverage disease and market knowledge working in partnership with the cross-functional team to leverage customer insights through the use of appropriate tools and techniques.
• Accountable to ensure accurate forecasting, through the disease brand managers, based on a robust patient model and in depth market knowledge.
• Accountable for disease area budgets including forecasting, expense management and evaluation of cost effectiveness.
• To ensure strong cross functional/regional/global relationships in order to drive aligned strategy, synergize projects/processes and share best practices.
• To create and motivate a dynamic and high performing team and to lead them to meet stated objectives.
• To identify critical talents needed by the organization and to define action plans for their development.
• To ensure compliance in all interactions throughout the organization and to liaise with the Regional and Local compliance functions to see that all processes and activities are in line with internal and external policies (Novartis PPF, ABPI, NP4, EFPIA, deontological code, global guidelines). In our high-performance team environment, this role requires a high degree of internal (cross-functional, regional, global) and external collaboration (medical experts, etc).

• Desirably educated to Degree Level ideally in Business or Marketing
• Fluent English
• Highly desirable related marketing and/or field sales experience
• Highly desirable previous experience in people management
