The Associate Director Contract Strategy will assist in the development of pricing and contracting strategy for optimal patient access and profitability. You will assess and evaluate macro trends in the healthcare environment that potentially impact current and/or future product pricing, contracting and associated strategies across the product portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Support the development of market access strategies for inline and pipeline products by con-ducting pre-modelling scenarios for market and competitor analyses, stakeholder and payer research
• Assist in the development as well as manage and maintain reimbursement and contracting strategies through-out product lifecycle that align with optimal market performance
• Interface with HEOR as needed to develop and recommend account pricing and contracting strategy for new products including the evaluation of novel contracting approaches (guarantees, adherence initiatives, OBCs, flex pricing) ensuring the US strategy aligns with global efforts
• Collaborate with Franchise teams and cross-functional stakeholders including global counter-parts, policy, HEOR and finance to manage activities and work on pricing and contracting approvals
• Identify and work to develop innovative pricing approaches to support market evolution, such as outcomes-based contracts
• Provide input and implementation assistance in the development of market access channel strategies
• Help to provide pricing and contracting insights for asset evaluation related to business development/licensing opportunities

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Economics or other critical thinking major; advanced business degree (MBA) preferred

Required Experience:
• Average of 8 or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience with 5 years in a pricing strategy capacity; experience in contract development and negotiation desirable

Preferred Experience:
• Comprehensive knowledge of access landscape, pricing vehicles and contracting strategies. Across a broad spectrum of channels/organizations (Health Plans, PBMs, Medicare Part D, Medicare Part B, Long-Term Care, GPOs, VA / DoD Specialty Pharmacy and State Medicaid)
• Experience working on a Launch Team with focus of pricing and contracting strategies
• Excellent ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts and analysis.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to effectively forecast account level prices, discounts and sales.
