Operational Activities 1. To ensure timely analytical testing and reviewing of test results on incoming raw materials as per GMP requirements. 2. To ensure timely completion of analytical method transfer/compendial method verification of new raw materials/existing raw materials. 3. To author new laboratory procedure and ensure procedures are periodically revised to reflect the current practice and current level of standards are met. 4. To author in writing protocol to support compendial method verification. 5. To be responsible in carrying out calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, as well as liaising and coordinating with external service providers in carrying out calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. 6. To be responsible in maintaining laboratory inventory by control in-house stock, reference standards, chemical reagents and consumable to support daily laboratory operation. 7. To conduct or lead laboratory investigation on laboratory equipment failure, Out of Trend, Out of Specifications, Document-Correct-Trend and any other Non-Conformance Investigation and formulate effective CAPAs and ensuring timely closure of non-conformance and its CAPA items. 8. To actively steer a continuous laboratory improvement culture. 9. Any other duties as assigned. Compliance, Audit Readiness and Safety 1. To ensure laboratory methods and specification are in accordance with requirements specified in pharmacopeia, regulatory dossiers, Novartis Quality Standards and HSE Standards. 2. To ensure tests assigned are performed in a timely manner in compliance to Standard Operating Procedures with necessary Laboratory Safety Precautions 3. To prepare, support and front internal or external audits in shaping a successful audit outcome. 4. Ensure no critical observations from HA 5. To be responsible in enforcing general laboratory cleanliness, perform and maintain excellent laboratory housekeeping.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or an equivalent discipline OR a Diploma qualification in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Process & Technology or an equivalent discipline Proficiency in English, both written and spoken Diploma - At least 5 years applicable experience in the pharmaceutical field or related industry.
