This exciting Field Based/remote Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) role will be based in the Philadelphia area and is responsible for implementing the Medical Expert (ME) engagement and advocacy strategy with National/Regional Medical Experts in the assigned geography. You will be the primary customer-facing role, executing on the customer aspects of the brand’s peer to peer strategies, participating in the selection/training process for possible speakers and implementing programs.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Building advocacy and support for Novartis Retina brands among thought leaders, connecting Thought Leaders with key groups within the Novartis organization (i.e. Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs) while maintaining compliance with guidelines on appropriate medical/commercial collaboration.
• Compliantly liaising with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Specialty Services) to execute peer to peer strategies, address customer needs, and identify/initiate appropriate projects for our customers.
• Coordination of national/regional congresses and peer to peer speaker events including providing customer feedback or program content.
• Significant customer-facing time, building relationships with existing and new thought leaders for involvement in current and future commercial activities
• Pull through local peer to peer strategies in coordination with marketing and sales business plans
• Collaborates closely with the Novartis advocacy team to develop relationships with key physician and patient organizations
• Appropriately document NVS interactions with thought leaders for internal awareness to support a cohesive customer experience and capture insights into development of new strategies and tactical approaches.

What you will bring:
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree (MBA) preferred, Fluent English (oral and written)
• 5+ years in Pharmaceutical Sales and/or Account Management.
• Strong knowledge of the US Retina Physician community, preferably developed through direct experience interacting with US Retina Specialists.
• Proven track record of success in developing productive relationships with physicians and other Healthcare Professionals with a consultative approach
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop and influence others
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and executive presence, strong analytical and presentation skills
• Ability to think creatively, conceptually and to execute key strategies
• Strong compliance mindset, prioritization, negotiation and problem solving skills and also working in a matrixed environment
• Financial/budgetary experience
