Senior Director, Clinical & Value Evidence Liaison
The Value Evidence Field Team member is expected to demonstrate expertise in therapeutics, value and outcomes research as well as a deep understanding of US healthcare market dynamics. The Field Team member should be an agile learner that is able to share clinical (safety and efficacy), outcomes and value evidence with a variety of population health decision makers, including payers and other stakeholders, across a range of products and indications. In addition, the Field Team member should be able to discuss the pipeline. The team member will engage in a variety of conversations with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, evidence insights, unsolicited request, disease and adverse event education, emerging data, clinical trial and pipeline discussions all while functioning within the Novartis Code of Conduct, Ethics/Compliance policies and Working Practice documents.
• Create strategic account management plans for core customers, often engaging a variety of stakeholders within one organization to appropriately share clinical, outcomes and value evidence; • Establish and build relationships with population health decision makers; • Engage in regular conversations with all assigned customers around clinical, outcomes and value evidence; • Serve as a scientific liaison to the population health and managed markets communities; • Identify emerging population health decision makers and groups as the healthcare market evolves; • Ensure the appropriate dissemination of clinical, outcomes and value evidence for both marketed and pipeline compounds in an ethical and timely manner, ensuring alignment with overall customer account plan; • Coordinate with Medical Affairs, Oncology Field Medical and other groups to support a consistent and customer-centric approach; • Provide the latest data in response to specific healthcare professional inquiries or support the most appropriate connection between the customer and Novartis personnel; • Utilize key metrics to identify best practice and drive continuous performance improvement; • Represent Novartis at national value evidence and managed markets congresses, ensuring a continuous knowledge development in the US healthcare market space; • Identify new trends and important innovations in the value and managed markets arenas to return those insights to other teams within Novartis;

• Advanced degree required; doctorate degree preferred; English • Minimum 3 years of field work in managed markets or population health preferred; • Minimum 5 years of healthcare industry experience required; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred; • Experience supporting research evidence dissemination required; direct knowledge of value evidence preferred; • Experience working with a matrix organization; • Experience as a customer-facing and/or field team member preferred; • Knowledge of US healthcare market, particularly managed markets and adjacent stakeholders; • Demonstrated strong skills in oral and written communication, including presentations; • Ability to build and maintain relationships; • Must possess a thorough understanding of the FDA, OIG, HIPAA, PhRMA Code and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, to ensure compliance with these external as well as internal guidelines and standard operating procedures;
