Senior Mechanical Engineer II
The purpose of this position is to conduct a wide variety of engineering work in support of developing Intraocular Delivery Systems and Intraocular Lenses including design and development of new components, products, processes and tooling.
• Provides technical skills and support by engaging internal and external capabilities, to ensure on-time development and successful product launches for high volume production.
• Successful history of taking products through the entire product development cycle.
• Advanced knowledge of FDA requirements associated with the development of medical devices including Design Control and the technical support required for regulatory submissions.
• Design, Verification, and Validation experience of Injection Molded components and tooling.
• Design of metal parts for processes such as drawing, stamping, CNC machining, EDM, Laser cutting/welding.
• Design of fixtures, tools, small machines for assembly and/or testing of components or products.
• Provide vendor selection and oversight by utilizing excellent organizational skills and ability to plan/prioritize activities.

• Fluent in verbal and written English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of directly related working experience OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience with RSS and Six Sigma tolerance analysis methods and Design For Six Sigma practices.
• Ability to work in dynamic team and company setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present issues, plans and objectives.
• Ability to work in fast paced organization, meeting multiple deadlines and succeeding under pressure.
• Must be motivated, resourceful, ambitious, enthusiastic and attentive to detail.
• Proficient in design of parts, assemblies and drawings using Solidworks or Creo.
