Global Director Behavioral Insights
The Director of Behavioral Insights is expected to (1) leverage behavioral science/cognitive science to step-change insights and strategy at Alcon, and (2) lead market research initiatives to guide global franchise business decisions and deliver actionable insights.

•Provide deep understanding and insights (inspired by cognitive science) from consumers and eye care professionals, to be applied within key business situations

•Drive partnerships with external thought leaders to deepen Alcon’s understanding of human behavior and how it impacts Vision Care

•Defines and executes the global Vision Care research plan, including determining the required investment and roll-out timeline with key milestones; ensures plan is aligned to business objectives; identifies, then responds to challenges/risks across plan

•Develops, implements, and evaluates all market research as it relates to brand strategy, including but not limited to customer targeting, product positioning, claims testing, packaging testing, promotional campaigns, strategic fit, habits and practices, tactics evolution

•Manages all aspects of the research vendor relationship, including requests for proposals, vendor selection, purchase orders, work planning, syndicated analyses, and content development

•Partners with business intelligence, competitive intelligence, and regional market research teams to conduct periodic reviews of global Vision Care market and emerging trends

•Manages large, complex projects with ability to gain alignment across multiple stakeholders with potentially diverging set of interests

•Maintains the financial integrity of Strategic Insights efforts through careful attention and adherence to the team’s research budget; ensures the expenses of the accounts managed do not exceed the teams allocated budget

•Quality and preparation of presentations/recommendations; on-time delivery of impactful, concise, and defect-free presentations for Global Franchise Team and Alcon senior executives

•Coordination and execution of Strategic Insights research plan for Global Vision Care Franchise

•Effective management of Strategic Insights research budget

•Accuracy of data interpretation and recommendations

•Successful key interactions with Alcon senior leaders and Vision Care marketing teams

•Strong strategic thinking (“big picture” vision) with proven analytical capabilities
