Job Purpose:
The Disease Area Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of account plans and marketing plans for the assigned product portfolio. You will be accountable for driving and optimizing sales- and market share, and to develop local strategy and tactical plans and ensure their implementation. This includes developing close relationships with targeted customers as well as executing field activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• To achieve sales and market share targets.
• To drives sales through proactive account planning, relationship building and good influencing skills.
• To create and execute strategic and tactical plans in line with Novartis standards and strategies.
• To manage national product performance and adjust plans accordingly.
• To develop national sales and market share forecasts, manage the annual budget and communicate budget impacts within the organization.
• To develop and implement patient centric programs which create value to customers, patients and Novartis.
• To monitor competitor activities and therapeutic trends closely and be able to act on opportunities in the marketplace.
• To proactively seek business opportunities, based on a clear understanding of products and customers.
• To ensure compliance in all interactions and maintain regular liaison with the local compliance functions to ensure that all processes and activities are compliant with internal and external policies.
• In our high-performance team environment, the role requires close cross functional collaboration with medical, market access, communications, patient relations, and finance both at a Norwegian and a Nordic level.

• Academic scientific degree
• Fluent in Swedish & English
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute marketing strategies
• Demonstrated results in competitive selling or key account management

• Previous background/experience in project management and knowledge of the Swedish health care system is beneficial
