Associate Director, Global MSL & Medical Information
Job Purpose
Responsible for Global medical information and MSL activities for defined oncology product(s) and/or related disease states including global medical information & MSL strategy, planning and execution. Responsibilities will also include the development and implementation of strategy to establish medical information excellence worldwide.

Major Accountabilities
•Develop Global Medical Information and MSL action plans for assigned product(s) and ensure alignment with Global Product Team (GPT) and Global Medical Affairs (GMA) priorities.
•Provide strategic direction for content development of Medical Information Global Guidance Documents (GGDs) for assigned product(s) to ensure accuracy, consistency and most current medical literature. Lead review and approval process.
•Drive implementation of Global MSL deliverables, training and resources for assigned products and/or related disease states, including therapeutic application for scientific engagement.
•Lead team to gain external customer insights and MSL perspectives to report back to Global Strategic Subteam (GSS), GPT and Cx team that may impact strategy and optimize global tools and resources.
•Assist in development, maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures for Global Medical Information in alignment with General Medicines.
•Manage global escalation process for medical information inquiries in collaboration with global cross-functional experts to ensure the provision of the timely and high quality responses as defined by metrics.
•Liaise with countries and regions to evaluate medical inquiries worldwide to identify emerging issues and provide feedback to Global teams on customer insights and needs.
•Lead Medical Information excellence and drive innovative solutions in assigned region or cluster, working closely with regional/country Medical Affairs and Medical Information.

Key Performance Indicators
•Meets or exceeds defined metrics for Medical Information responses to CPOs for HCPs unsolicited inquiries/requests
•Deliver on product strategy through execution of Medical Information and MSL activities.
•Active communication and collaboration with stakeholders
•Compliance with legal, regulatory, and Novartis requirements

Education (minimum/desirable):
Minimum: Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) in a health care related field.

Experience/Professional requirement:
•5-7 years experience in pharmaceutical industry typically in medical information, medical affairs or medical education
•Excellent working knowledge of Medical Information activities and expertise
•Proficient level of understanding of pharmaceutical business, including drug development process, and legal/compliance global environment
•Strong Oncology therapeutic knowledge
•Excellent written/oral communication skills and proficient in Medical Writing
•Excellent interpersonal communication and presentations skills
•Demonstrated innovation in processes / technical approaches
•Demonstrated organizational awareness including experience working cross- functionally and globally with strong influencing and leadership skills in a matrix organization
•Demonstrated project and process management skills
•Strong customer focus
•MSL, Medical Information & Communication, or Medical Affairs experience preferred
