Job Summary:
The Value and Access Manager will be part of a Nordic market access team, but will focus on market access issues in the Danish environment. The SEAM will work cross-functionally with Medical and Franchises across all key brands in Novartis Pharmaceuticals and will also be externally focused towards both national and regional decision makers and payers.

Job Purpose:
The Value and Access Manager accounts for the clinical input related to the processes through the Drug Reimbursement Committee and the Medicines Council for new launches and established key products across all Franchises in close collaboration with Franchise and Medical Affairs to ensure access of products to the patients through national and regional reimbursement, funding and listing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the clinical input in Reimbursement, Funding and Listing processes: ensures high quality clinical input for applications to the Drug Reimbursement Committee (“Medicintilskudsnævnet”) and the Medicines Council (“Medicinrådet”) (Day 150 meeting, preliminary HTA application and final HTA application) including clinical input for HEOR (as applicable) according to key prioritization and aligned with brand strategy
• Becomes an expert in GRADE assessment used by the Medicines Council and health authorities
• Responsible for constantly having an in depth knowledge of the Danish healthcare system: The SEAM has a deep understanding of the Danish healthcare structure, of national and regional regulations and guidelines related to reimbursement, funding and listings
• Responsible for face-to-face interaction with Key Stakeholders: The SEAM develops necessary networking with key national clinician stakeholders of relevance for the funding processes through the Drug Reimbursement Committee and the Medicines Council
• Ensures high quality clinical input for Horizon Scanning meetings and early warning meetings (with clinical pharmacologists, hospital pharmacists and other relevant stakeholders) at regional level in collaboration with External Affairs and Medical Affairs
• Responsible for understanding and communicating customer insights to improve outcome of funding processes: Building alliances and networks to capture customer insights e.g. through F2F meetings or Advisory Boards
• Responsible for providing clinical input to value stories, HE analysis and risk-sharing agreements for key brands in close collaboration with other members of Market Access and Franchises (incl. Medical Affairs)
• Compliance: Accountable for documentation, training and implementation of all policies and guidelines within their employees to ensure full compliance (e.g. NP4, code of conduct, corporate citizenship, HSE, D&I etc.)
• Ensure that all AEs are brought to attention to the DS&E department within 24 H after receipt

A strong and relevant scientific background and good understanding of economic, political and access-related factors influencing the Danish pharmaceutical market. Strong communication skills and already established relations to key decision makers and payers in the healthcare system will be a big plus.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Scientific degree (MD or other scientific degree combined with a relevant PhD)
• Master of Science in Public Health
• Additional relevant business degree very desirable e.g. Bachelor or Master degree English mandatory
• Fluent in Danish
• Fluent in English
• Experience with the Danish healthcare system
• Experience in Medical Affairs
