Markus joined Novartis as a scientist in 2007. Since then, he has worked in several key roles, including development and operational manufacturing, before joining the business development team in 2020. He supports the business with his expertise in manufacturing.  

Markus has a graduate degree in Biotechnology Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Weihenstephan, Germany, and a PhD in Biology from the Ruperto-Carola University of Heidelberg, Germany.
