The Summer Undergraduate Internship Program in Cambridge (June-August) is a paid, 40-hour per week program for students enrolled at an accredited university. Interns work on their own project under the guidance of a NIBR researcher. Placement may be in a variety of laboratory settings focusing on specific disease areas, pathway discovery, or new technologies.
In addition to performing research, Cambridge interns participate in educational programs to enrich their experiencethrough a Drug Discovery Seminar Series, journal club and career development. At the end of the summer, the interns formally present the results of their summer research at a campus-wide poster session.

Applications are accepted beginning December prior to the summer internship. All cover letters and resumes must be submitted by February 13, 2009, and selections will be announced by April 1.
Eligibility:

Applicants must have completed at least their sophomore year in college or university but not have graduated from a Master’s degree program prior to the start of the internship. PhD students are not eligible for this program.
