An example is Voltaren Emulgel, Novartis OTC's nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used topically to relieve symptoms like joint pain from osteoarthritis in the knees, ankles, feet, elbows, wrists and hands.1
The original cap on the Voltaren tube was difficult for sufferers of hand and wrist pain to open. With these consumers in mind, Novartis OTC designed an easy-open, rotatable screw cap for this Voltaren product.
First launched in Germany, the custom-designed screw cap is now available for consumers in more than ten countries, including larger markets such as Brazil and Russia. This innovation helps to ensure that people around the world can experience the joy of movement.
