Digital interaction

Novartis is committed to reaching patients, and enabling patients and physicians to connect with one another, in new ways, using new technologies and new ideas. Examples of Novartis technologies that help patients manage their health are below.

Managing vaccinations with VaxTrak

Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics (NV&D) has developed a way to help parents, families and vaccine consumers track vaccinations using the iPhone. The VaxTrak iPhone app helps families manage their children's vaccination schedules. The app tracks vaccinations as they are received, from infancy through adolescence, and tells parents when updates are due. Users can also use the app to log insurance records and find pharmacies or other locations where flu shots are available.

The downloadable app is available to US residents for free in the iTunes App Store.

VaxTrak represents a new way that Novartis is fulfilling the mission to provide innovative healthcare solutions to address the evolving needs of patients. The current version of VaxTrak is just the beginning - the NV&D IT Enterprise Service Delivery (ESD) is considering ways to expand this application so that it can better help customers around the globe.

Digitally connecting patients through CML Earth

CML Earth is a global, interactive social networking site developed by Novartis Oncology dedicated to connecting the Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) community around the world -- patients, advocacy groups and healthcare professionals. This evolving community offers a valuable resource by connecting patients to a support network that can help them manage their disease.
