Vaccines and Diagnostics
The Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics Division provides more than 20 vaccines to prevent viral and bacterial diseases, as well as sophisticated instruments, assays and software to protect the blood supply from infectious diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis.
The division consists of two businesses - Novartis Vaccines and Novartis Diagnostics.

Novartis Diagnostics
Novartis Diagnostics products are used to screen millions of blood donations around the world each year for pathogens such as HIV (the AIDS virus), hepatitis B and hepatitis C and West Nile virus before they are used in transfusions or other medical therapies.
Building on its strong presence in transfusion medicine, Novartis Diagnostics is also creating innovative preventive screening solutions to detect, prevent and predict disease and to improve medical outcomes.
